An interesting and disturbing Gallup poll reports almost half of those polled in the U.S. reject evolutionary science. The statistics increase the more people self-identify as religious. It also seems that, the more they identify as politically conservative , the more likely they are to believe in creationism. This does not bode well for our nation as we compete in science with the equivalent of one hand tied behind our back.
