A new study by the National Centre for Atmospheric Science has found that we have lost 40% of our polar ice caps since the 1970’s, and that 70-95% of the melting is due to human activity. I wonder if climate deniers would be so glib if those statistics referred to a tumor that might be growing in their own body? It is true that our generation will probably not live into the nightmares we may be causing, but it would be nice if we gave more of a damn about the kind of world our great grandchildren might be born into.
