While our minds create infinite complexity, there is one human heart. When another seems thoughtless or cruel, I need to ask myself what it would take to look at the world that way. The most irreconcilable philosophies can sometimes be bridged if we will but ask what the other hopes and fears.
When there seems no possible meeting of the minds, there is yet hope, we can still meet at the level of our hearts.
