Humans too.
Most humans carry definitions in our heads,
Like magnets on a refrigerator,
And, when we hear unfamiliar ideas,
Ideas for which we have no corresponding magnet,
We bark.
When we theists hear an idea for which we have no pre-existing definition,
We bark,"heretic!"
When we skeptics hear an idea for which we have no pre-existing definition,
We bark,"Superstition!"
