Those arguing for the law said it was intended to inspire critical thinking. The problem is, of course, that creationism is not a scientific theory, it is religious, and the concerns behind the law were clearly political, not scientific. Now a Louisianna lawmaker wants to bring back unfettered science in the classroom.
